Terms of Service

The rules for using obslink.com and the OBSLINKS APIs.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of OBSLINKS (the “Service”), provided by ZeroTen Technologies LTD (“ZeroTen,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

1. Service Description

OBSLINKS provides APIs and tooling to automate deployment of Octopus Business Script (OBS) to your domains or subdomains using WHM/cPanel or other supported hosts. You retain control over your hosting environment, domain/DNS, and any third-party services you integrate.

2. Accounts & Eligibility

  • You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding API keys, credentials, and access tokens issued to your account.
  • You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Service.

3. Orders, Fees & Taxes

  • Some features may be paid. Prices and billing terms will be shown at checkout or in your order form.
  • All fees are exclusive of taxes. You are responsible for applicable taxes, duties, or levies.
  • Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable once a deployment job has begun.

4. Deployments & Your Hosting Responsibilities

  • You authorize us to execute automated actions (e.g., create subdomains/addon domains, databases, files) within your hosting account.
  • You are responsible for DNS pointing, SSL issuance (including AutoSSL timing), and ensuring your host supports required features.
  • We are not responsible for failures caused by incorrect DNS, host limitations, insufficient permissions, or third-party outages.

5. Customer Content & Licenses

  • You retain ownership of content and configurations you submit.
  • You grant ZeroTen a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely to provide the Service (e.g., perform deployments, logs, backups of config files where needed).
  • You represent that your content and domains do not infringe third-party rights or violate law.

6. Acceptable Use

  • No illegal activity, malware, SPAM, or attempts to breach security of the Service or other systems.
  • No abuse of the APIs (e.g., excessive requests, scraping that degrades stability, or bypassing rate limits).
  • We may suspend or terminate access for suspected violations.

7. API Terms

  • Keep your API keys confidential; you are responsible for activity under your keys.
  • We may implement rate limits, quotas, or idempotency requirements for reliability.
  • You must not circumvent authentication, encryption, or logging mechanisms.

8. Privacy

Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to such processing and you agree to comply with applicable data-protection laws when using our APIs.

9. Service Levels, Support & Maintenance

  • The Service may be unavailable during maintenance windows or due to third-party issues.
  • We provide commercially reasonable support; specific SLAs apply only if agreed in a separate written contract.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service can interact with third-party platforms (e.g., WHM/cPanel, DNS providers, CDNs). We are not responsible for those services, their terms, or their availability.

11. Intellectual Property

ZeroTen and its licensors own all rights in the Service, including software, logos, and documentation. These Terms do not grant you any IP rights except the limited right to use the Service as permitted here.

12. Term & Termination

  • You may stop using the Service at any time.
  • We may suspend or terminate access immediately for cause (e.g., security risk, unpaid fees, or policy violations).
  • Upon termination, your access to APIs and dashboards may cease; we may retain logs as required by law or for legitimate interests.

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant continuous, error-free operation or compatibility with every hosting environment.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ZEROTEN TECHNOLOGIES LTD AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY.

15. Indemnity

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ZeroTen from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your content, your domains/hosting, or your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law.

16. Changes

We may modify the Service or these Terms to reflect updates in features, legal requirements, or business needs. If we make material changes, we will post the revised Terms with a new “Last updated” date.

17. Governing Law & Venue

Unless otherwise stated in an order form: these Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. If you contract with our UK entity, the governing law is that of England and Wales. Venue and exclusive jurisdiction shall lie with competent courts in Nigeria or England (as applicable).
